Monoprinting gives me an opportunity to give up some of the control I exhibit with my paintings and allow happenstance to occur. I enjoy the same tactile involvement I felt long ago in my life as a potter and favor working subtractively. It brings me back full circle to that magic time of childhood when art was play and my finger was the tool of choice.
